The Darkest Night

On solstice that summons the year’s darkest night
One world shall suffer the other world’s might

For spirit and mortal, true sighted and blind
There cometh a battle of ultimate kind

At power intertwined a gate shall appear
On worlds out of balance, now gripped with fear

When the dark lunar’s glow caresses the tower of night
The fate of all may truly be bright

For if beings long forgotten return to their core
And ancient opponents stand allies once more

Then all through the heavens grand music may sound
The balance restored, what was lost is found

Yet tidings, more likely, are vilely reversed
All hope torn asunder, the darkness is cursed

Then over the heavens a shroud shall descend;
To the darkest of mornings, the uttermost end
