...that was the last straw, his heart pounding painfully in his chest, he relinquished his resistance against the dark presence that was breaking into his mind.
Immediately, the altered mindset surged violently forth, shoving Caime's mind beneath its own. The familiar fear that he would be lost forever within himself, welled inside him, his mind involuntarily resisting the invasion for a moment before the instints completely overwhelmed him. Caime felt the physical changes overtaking his body, even as his thoughts started to swirl away into dark oblivion.
Like the flesh of his right hand, Caime’s entire skin underwent the same grizzly shift, thickening and twisting up in large patches of broken black scales. His spine lengthened somewhat and the vertabre lengthened into dull ridges beneath his twisting flesh. His hands now mirrored each other and his feet, though jammed into steel plated boots, also bore a resemblence to great claws. Between his shoulderblades there was a sharp pain as his newly formed wings ripped through his shirt, emerging from beneath his wildly fluttering cloak. As the last remniants of his human mind slipped beneath that of the beast, Caime sensed the great wings unfolding into the wind.
Now it was a more primal entity that had controle of Caime, one with a thirst for blood and was more appropreat for the near demonic form that was present. The creature opened its wide mouth in a hiss, fangs dripping with vile saliva as its blood-red eyes beneathe ridge scaled eyebrows narrowed in the direction of the sillouetted figure in the distance…

Ya gotta love Gale! This is a concept for Caime's alter-ego and form (which he has absolutely no controle over). I still have a ways to go before it's finnished, but I just had to let this out to corrispond with chapter 5 of Into the Maelstrom!
You have got to play this game. It is awesome. Little hint to Castlevania Symphony of the night: THere are 4 different ending, and 1 alter character, you have to complete over 150% of the game to get the alter character.
Anyways, laterz.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
